Projects

For the time being, most new information about out work will come in through the blogs. If you log on to our site you can be emailed when new blogs are written. If you need to know something additional please email us.

Sampling our knowledge and networks

We are putting project details up to give you a flavour of Dadamac and our sister organisation Fantsum Foundation (FF). By describing different things we are doing we can offer a glimpse of the range of our interests, networks and knowledge and it is our networks and knowledge we want to share with you, as much as any individual projects.

Connecting Dadamac projects and Fantsuam Foundation projects

Sometimes you may find it hard to see where Dadamac ends and FF begins. However this is only an issue if fees or funding is involved  - and where there is money then the boundaries are firmly set. Where it is a matter of sharing information or knowhow or doing some unpaid work for each other then boudaries are more blurred.

The fact that John Dada is active in both Dadamac and FF (but never paid in FF) is a great benefit to Dadamac. As a general rule of thumb - if John is working for the local community and totally focussed on their needs he is probably being John of FF. If he is looking outwards to share local knowledge then he is probably being John of Dadamac.

Practicalities

The UK-Nigeria team meets every week online for a skype conference. This ensures there is close collaboration. John leads our work in Nigeria and Pam leads it in UK and on the Internet.

The team in Nigeria includes representatives of Fantsuam Foundation (FF): a unique community development programme. The  partnership between FF and Dadamac is mutually beneficial. Dadamac raises the profile of FF projects, improves its links with the wider world, and increases its opportunities for education, training and various kinds of collaboration. FF keeps Dadamac projects firmly grounded in local realities, and provides access to a wide network of people in high-trust relationships.
