Nigeria and Nearby
Nigeria is the first home of Dadamac, which started because Pamela McLean and various Nigerian friends and contacts had been collaborating for several years in miscellaneous ways. About Dadamac explains the organisational structure.
Since 2004 there has been a strong ongoing collaboration between John Dada, in North Central Nigeria. and Pamela McLean, in London. We have weekly UK-Nigeria team meetings online. Meeting details can be found in Nikki's blogs
John's work in Nigeria, especially at Fanstuam Foundation and Attachab ,provide the basis for practical work we enable in Nigiera, and provides a steady stream of grass-roots information.
This Dadamac.net site has been giving the ongoing Dadamac Nigeria story since March 2009. Good places to start digging deeper into our work are Initiatives and the Dadamac Monthly Digest.
The precursor of Dadamac was Cawdnet, which grew out of the work of the late Peter Adetunji Oyawale.
See the work of Folabi Sunday (Fola) for the continuation of this work through the Dadamac outpost in Ago-Are.
