Ongoing: Fantsuam Foundation provides daily nutritional support, in this instance lunch, for 17 OVCs .

These children are highly vulnerable HIV/AIDS orphans from low income families and this one healthy meal per day is vital for their well being

This category of OVCs can also benefit from additional nutritional support if they meet set criteria.

The need is ongoing and if more funds were available more children would be included.

John is financing this project himself. Dadamac is helping it to be more visibile

Typically in Nigeria, honey is collected from the wild, and then sold by women in the local markets. It can be contaminated with debris, brownish in colour, and smells and tastes smokey. It is usually sold in recycled bottles into which the honey has been decanted. The honey is used locally as a sweetener and also as an antiseptic.

The Kakas Programme (‘grandmother’ in Hausa) serves grandmothers that have taken on the role of caregiver to their grandchildren. The majority of their parents died of AIDS and had nothing to leave behind for the care for their children, and there are no other members of the immediate or extended family who are able to support the family. There is no Government support for these families.
