Dadamac in Africa

A completed ecodomeIn Nigeria the Dadamac team is lead by  Dr John Dada (co-founder of Dadamac) at Kafanchan in North Central Nigeria. John has been active in local community development for many years. He also contributes to various Pan-African initiatives. Now through Dadamac his experience, networks and projects are accessible to anyone with overlapping interests and similar vision. Dadamac's approach is to:

  • Respond to real needs
  • Take a people-centred holistic approach: health; housing; business; finance; education; everything that affects the well-being of individuals, families, and the wider community
  • Find solutions
  • Innovate
  • Ensure innovations are fit for purpose
  • Learn from our mistakes - and help others to avoid them
  • Share our successes - and help others to replicate them
  • Explore sustainable solutions
  • Enable technology-transfer and skill development
  • Show-case good practice
  • Provide face-to-face training
  • Create learning resources that people can use at a distance
  • Connect with other grass-roots projects in Nigeria and elsewhere, mainly, but not only, in Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Build strong links with other people and organisations through Dadamac's UK office
